Frequently asked questions
Do I really need a cover letter?
If the job advert asks for one, always. Even when it is optional, a short tailored letter helps you stand out, especially when you are changing careers or applying as a fresh graduate.
How long should a cover letter be?
Three to five short paragraphs, around 250–400 words, fitting on one page.
Can I use the same design as my CV?
Yes. Choose the same template and colour in the Design tab, or open the cover letter from the CV builder with Download → Create matching cover letter.
